The Stuff That Nobody Tells You About Living in the UK

London Bridge

Moving to the UK to build your business? You're probably juggling visa paperwork, investor meetings, and scaling plans—but what about figuring out why everyone's sneezing in June or why the weather forecast seems to change every five minutes?

That's exactly why we created our UK Life section at innovatorpulse.com/tag/uk-life/. Because let's be honest, successful entrepreneurship isn't just about nailing your pitch deck. It's about thriving in the place where you're building your dream.

We get it. You didn't come to the UK to become an expert on British hay fever seasons or decode the mysterious world of council tax. But here's the thing—understanding these everyday realities can actually make your business journey smoother. When you're not stressed about basic life stuff, you can focus on what really matters: growing your venture.

Our UK Life stories tackle the real questions international entrepreneurs face. Why are pollen levels particularly brutal some years? What cultural nuances might affect your networking success? How can you help your family settle in while you're busy building the next big thing? These aren't fluffy lifestyle pieces—they're practical insights that save you time, money, and those awkward "I had no idea" moments.

Ready to make your UK journey a bit easier? Check out our latest stories and discover why thousands of international entrepreneurs rely on us for both business success and peace of mind.

Five Questions for Sergey Nasonov

Describe your project in a paragraph
Tyten (formerly Fixo AI) makes life easier for everyone living or working in buildings. Residents can report problems quickly through WhatsApp, engineers get simple step-by-step guidance to fix issues faster, and help desks save time by automating routine admin. The result is happier residents, fewer delays, and smoother operations for the companies that run homes and offices.

Tell us a little about yourself
I’m Sergey Nasonov, originally from Minsk, got an education in Munich, and now I'm based in London. My background is in technology and M&A. I’ve built software for companies like Intel, BMW, and AWS, and also led large IT teams during complex billion-euro M&A transactions. At Tyten, I’m co-founder and CTO, making sure our product is reliable and truly useful for both residents and the teams managing buildings.

What’s the inspiration behind your idea?
I first met our CEO, Vlad, during the Antler accelerator, and we quickly became friends. Later, I got to know Tom — a great person with a wealth of real estate experience. Together, we started exploring how buildings are managed day-to-day. I realised that with the right technology, we could make life much easier for residents and tenants, while helping companies run more efficiently. That realisation became the trigger for me to commit fully to Tyten.

What is your vision for the next 5 years?
In five years, we want Tyten to be the trusted AI platform for how buildings are looked after — from apartments to offices. Our goal is to give people a stress-free way to get help, support engineers with the tools they need to work faster, and let companies run more cost-effective operations. In short, better service for people and stronger performance for businesses.

What aspect of the UK are you looking forward to experiencing the most?
I enjoy exploring London’s neighbourhoods, history, and architecture. At the same time, I love being part of the UK’s startup scene, where there’s so much energy and innovation. I’m especially excited to contribute to how people’s everyday experience of living and working in buildings can be improved here.

Thank you to Sergey for taking the time to answer these for us.
