Do your surroundings look like this at the moment? Please be careful!

If you're from a warmer climate, British winter might surprise you. It's not particularly harsh, but it's unpredictable, and when frost, ice, or snow arrive, conditions can become tricky quickly. Black ice (that invisible layer on roads and pavements) is especially dangerous in the early morning and evening, so if you're driving, slow down, increase your distance, and brake gently. If conditions feel unsafe and you're not confident, it's absolutely fine to work from home.

For walking, invest in shoes with good grip, take smaller steps, and keep your hands free for balance. Watch for icy patches near building entrances and anywhere the sun doesn't reach. At home, keep things warm but safe. Never leave heaters unattended and know where your stopcock is in case pipes freeze.

The good news? Most British winters are manageable with a bit of preparation. Check forecasts regularly, and don't hesitate to ask colleagues or neighbours for advice. Brits love talking about the weather and will happily share their winter wisdom.

Yet Monzo, BrewDog, and Gymshark have done exactly that — transforming banking, brewing, and fitness apparel respectively.

Find out why George Kinder is Teaching UK Businesses to Trust Again

George Kinder once asked a question that seemed almost too simple to matter: If you had all the money you needed, what would you do with your life? Over three decades, that question—along with two others—quietly transformed thousands of lives and reshaped financial advice in more than thirty countries.

Known internationally as the “Father of Life Planning,” George didn’t bring this philosophy to the UK as a final chapter, but as a provocation. He saw, again and again, the gap between what organisations claim to value and how they actually behave.

The Moules was born in that gap: a new venture rooted in a long-held belief that meaningful change, in people and in businesses, starts with asking better questions.
