Innovator International has introduced the UK Growth Accelerator HEI Strategic Support Group, designed to assist overseas entrepreneurs and university enterprise teams in navigating the Innovator Founder Visa route. This initiative supports both students and graduate entrepreneurs as they transition from academic life into establishing and growing businesses in the UK.
A core aim of the group is to offer expert guidance on visa endorsements while creating a channel for universities to provide feedback to the Home Office. By gathering insights from members, the group hopes to help shape policies and open new opportunities for international entrepreneurs looking to launch ventures in the UK.
The pilot phase will involve up to 20 initial members, enabling the organisers to tailor the group’s activities to their needs. Once established, membership will expand to include international partners, especially in countries with high application rates for the Innovator Founder Visa, and eventually to a wider network of UK and global higher education institutions.
Members will benefit from direct access to a named contact for visa queries, quarterly webinars with live Q&As, and opportunities to influence future policy discussions. Additional resources, including online packages and a dedicated WhatsApp group, will further enhance collaboration and knowledge‑sharing among participants.
While the group cannot advise on individual visa applications, it will provide general guidance on the application process and endorsement journeys.
