Subject: Answering All Your Financial Questions
Attendees: Open to all registered members, registration required via Zoom.
If you have joined one of our recent webinars, you will have noticed a pattern. Whatever the advertised topic, the conversation almost always turns to money. Not because founders are obsessed with numbers, but because the financial side of the Innovator Founder route is genuinely one of the least well understood parts of it.
This session is dedicated entirely to that. We will be covering where the £50,000 figure actually sits and why it is so often misunderstood, what genuinely counts as spend furthering the business, whether reinvested revenue works the same way as a fresh capital injection, and how grant funding tied to a university partnership fits alongside proof of funds. We will also talk through the trickier scenarios, including what to do when you cannot trade yet but have an investor interested, what assessors actually look for as evidence, and what a realistic revenue projection needs to hold up to scrutiny.
This one works best with your questions in the room, so please bring whatever is genuinely on your mind. You can drop it into the chat box, or if you are feeling brave, come on camera and ask it directly. Please note we cannot answer questions that relate specifically to a single application, but we can help you understand how things work and where a figure or a decision in your own plan is likely to sit.
Please note - If you are unable to attend our webinars live we will be recording these sessions and providing a recap on Innovator Pulse for paid members only
