We love "real" events as much as you, and following our fabulous building your business in Britain event in May, we've got two more evening events with Venture Cafe coming up in the next couple of months.
London: Thursday 13th August, 6-9pm
Let's start with the big one - on Thursday 13th August, we're partnering with Venture Café London and Tech Nation for a chance for you to catch up with each other, but also members of the Global Talent community. The evening will include conversation about two of the UK's most talked-about immigration routes: the Innovator Founder Visa and the Global Talent Visa.
Whether you're on the route, have successfully completed it, or are still deciding which route is right for you, you'll meet other people travelling the same journey as you, discover practical insights and share real experiences...
The evening starts with pizza and networking from 6pm, followed by a founder panel exploring what it really takes to build a business in the UK beyond securing a visa. If you've been to one of our community events before, you'll know the conversations afterwards are often just as valuable as the panel itself.
If you're able to join us in London, we'd love to see you there.

Manchester: Thursday 23rd July, 6-9pm
If London isn't on your calendar but the North is, we'll also be at Growing Northern Food Futures: Manchester's AgTech Pioneers on Thursday 23rd July. We're proud to be sponsoring the food for the evening, and James will be present representing Innovator International, chatting with founders, entrepreneurs and innovators throughout the event.
If you're heading along - or you want to pop in specifically to say hi - seek out James at the event and say hello.

As the summer continues...
It's been a proper season for this community. Founders securing ILR, new sessions going live every fortnight, and a summer of events that isn't slowing down. This week we're focused on the practical side of building a business here, the support that carries you through to settlement, and making sure you know exactly what's on the calendar between now and the end of August.
Before we get into it, a quick note if you're feeling the heat this week (literally), this is the third heatwave of the year, and our survival guide from last month is worth a re-read if you missed it. Right, onto what's coming up.
How do you sell the answer to everything?
Alongside the events, we've had a new piece up from Richard this week, looking at one of the most common mistakes we see in business plans: trying to appeal to everyone at once. It uses a genuinely brilliant example from a Boots procurement meeting to explain why specialism sells, and why focus isn't a limitation, it's a strategy.

Don't forget next week's webinar - What you need to build a British Business

Building a business rarely happens entirely on your own, even if it feels that way at first. Join us next Wednesday morning (15th July) for our next open webinar, where we'll get into the practical decisions every founder faces sooner or later: what to handle yourself, when to hire, and where partnerships really move the needle.
We'll cover the difference between employing someone and bringing in a subcontractor or freelancer, what genuine job creation needs to look like from a compliance and evidencing perspective, and where strategic partnerships fit versus straightforward outsourcing. It's fully interactive, so bring your questions along.

Applying for your next endorsement (ILR or Same Business)
If you're in the 3rd year of your visa, this is a must attend session. Open to members of the Innovator International Community, this webinar is a great chance to learn about the process and actions required to apply for your next visa. Highly recommended for any entrepreneur considering their future steps or preparing for a 'same business' or ILR application.

If you can't make our July session, we are running them monthly so book ahead onto August:
